A Guide for Parents, Teachers & Children’s Ministry Leaders
Little Bible Storytime videos are short (about three minutes), calm and narrated slowly. Each one retells a single Bible passage.
How to read our pages
- Bible quotation, word for word Exact words from the Bible translation named, with the verse reference.
- Paraphrase The story retold in simple words. It follows the passage but is not a quotation.
- A prayer for families (not a Bible quotation) A short prayer we wrote for families to pray. It is not words from the Bible.
In the videos, imagined details (for example, how someone might have felt) are introduced with words like “we can imagine” so children can tell them apart from what the Bible says.
A 15-minute lesson (Sunday school, small group or homeschool)
- Open (2 min): Ask a warm-up question about the children’s own lives, such as “Have you ever been afraid of a storm?” or “Have you ever lost something special?”
- Watch (3 min): Play the video from the story page or from YouTube.
- Read (2 min): Read the passage aloud from your own Bible. Older children can find the verse themselves.
- Talk (4 min): Use two or three of the discussion questions. Let children answer in their own words.
- Do (4 min): Try the activity, hand out the printable coloring page and close with the short prayer.
At home or at bedtime
Watch together and pause to ask “What do you think will happen next?” Afterward, read the passage from your family Bible and talk through one question. The coloring page is a good way to retell the story with your child the next day.
The stories and their main point
- Jesus Calms the Storm (Mark 4:35-41): The passage ends with the disciples’ own question: who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? (Mark 4:41). The story shows Jesus’ power over the wind and the sea.
- The Lost Sheep (Luke 15:1-7): Jesus explains his own story in Luke 15:7: there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine who need no repentance. To repent means to be sorry for the wrong things we have done and to turn back to God.
- Jesus Welcomes the Children (Mark 10:13-16): Jesus welcomed the children and said that God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these. He taught that whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child will not enter it (Mark 10:14-15).
Can my church show these videos?
Yes. You can play the videos in Sunday school, children’s church, VBS or homeschool co-ops directly from YouTube or by embedding them. Please don’t download or re-upload them. You may print the coloring pages for use at home, at church and in the classroom.
Bible translations
The first stories quote the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the public domain. Later stories may quote the New King James Version (NKJV); each video’s description says which translation it uses.
How the videos are made
Scripts and illustrations are made with Grok, and the narration voice is by ElevenLabs. Before release, every script is checked line by line against the Bible passage, with a written verification record. This is an agent check, not human review. The videos are marked “Made for Kids” on YouTube, so comments are turned off.
